Deleting your account and data
Applies to the PlayIP.TV app, published by BRAINIAC GINGER S.R.L. Last updated 7 August 2026.
Delete it yourself, immediately: playip.tv/deleteme — sign in there and the account is gone at once. No waiting, and no need to contact us.
Option 1 — delete your entire account
- Go to playip.tv/deleteme.
- Sign in with the account you want to remove, and type DELETE to confirm.
- The account and everything attached to it is deleted straight away. Any television you paired stops working immediately.
If you would rather we did it, email support@playip.tv from the address registered to the account, with the subject "Delete my account". We action it within 30 days and confirm by reply.
What is deleted
Everything tied to your account, permanently and with no way to recover it:
- your account and the email address on it;
- your stored password hash;
- every provider you connected, including the encrypted username, password, MAC address or playlist URL;
- your favourites, recently played list and hidden channels;
- your paired devices and their access tokens;
- your chosen guide sources and any guide overrides.
What is kept, and why
- Anonymous stream health reports — a record of whether a given stream started playing. These carry no account or device identifier, cannot be linked back to you, and are not personal data. They are pruned on a rolling basis regardless.
- Short-lived server logs, kept briefly for security and reliability and then discarded.
Nothing else is retained. We keep no backup copy of a deleted account beyond our ordinary short backup rotation, after which it is gone from those too.
Option 2 — delete some data, keep your account
You do not have to close your account to remove data. All of this takes effect immediately, in the app, on any device:
- Remove a provider — Sources, select the provider, then Remove. This deletes its stored credentials and its channel list.
- Clear watch history — Settings, then clear recently played.
- Clear favourites — unstar any channel, or clear them all from Settings.
- Unpair a device — Settings, Paired devices, then Revoke. That device's access token stops working at once.
If you would rather we did any of this for you, email support@playip.tv and say which data you want removed.
Your rights
Deletion is one of the rights described in our Privacy Policy, alongside access, correction, restriction, objection and portability. Requests for any of those go to the same address and get the same 30-day commitment.
