Delete your account
PlayIP.TV, published by BRAINIAC GINGER S.R.L.
This is immediate and cannot be undone. There is no grace period and no way for us to restore the account afterwards.
What gets deleted
Everything personal to you, permanently:
- your account and the email address on it, and your stored password hash;
- every provider you connected, including the encrypted username, password, MAC address or playlist URL;
- your favourites, recently played list and hidden channels;
- your paired televisions and their access tokens, so they stop working straight away;
- your chosen guide sources and any guide corrections you made.
What is not deleted, and why
Two things stay, and neither is personal to you:
- The shared channel catalogue and programme guide. These describe a provider's service, not you. One panel's channel list is stored once and used by every subscriber of that panel, so removing it would delete other people's library along with your account. It holds nothing that identifies you — your credentials are stored separately, encrypted, and those are deleted.
- Anonymous stream health records — whether a given stream played or failed. These have no account or device attached to them, by design in the database itself, so there is nothing in them to trace back to you.
Confirm it is you
Sign in with the account you want to delete. We ask for the password again because this is the one action with no undo.
Prefer not to delete everything?
You can remove individual data without closing your account — delete a provider, clear your history, unpair a television — all from inside the app. See deleting your account and data for the steps, or email support@playip.tv and we will do it for you.
